About Us:

Alpine Greenhouses was created from the work of Alpine Organic Farm (2008-2018). During that time we built 4 greenhouses that were 50’ long, 25 feet wide and 17’ tall. The pictures below show the scale of the “jungle” that we created each year. Our ranching neighbors visited and asked if we could build smaller versions of our design for them to grow food at their home. So we started Alpine Greenhouses LLC and for a while operated both businesses. Our founder, affectionately known as “Tomato Dave” decided to focus on the greenhouse business and the farm was sold. Currently he travels the Rocky Mountains living in an Airstream and has built or sold 200+ greenhouses and greenhouse kits. During Winter he goes to Costa Rica and plans on establishing a small farm there.

Our passion for creating technological solutions for growing in a harsh environment (the Rocky Mountains) is unparalleled. We invented our signature shape to absorb the sun’s immense energy, as well as other technology that magnifies that energy inside the greenhouse. This creates too much heat during Summer so we invented our own exhaust fans and shade systems to control the heat. This new design translates to incredible energy efficiency. Conventional Greenhouses cost $.47 per cubic foot to heat during Winter. Alpine Greenhouses cost $.04 per cubic foot.
